arrived 0300 in ensenada...passing punta banda and todos santos islands interesting at nite....something caused depth gauge to be all over the place...but it is really deep and straight forward...ensenada harbor easy to enter...but difficult to figurew where to anchor or what to do as everything is closed...cruiseport marina..is the answer..good depth, beautiful facility...paperwork a breeze...zarpe and heading north now at 1900...nice day in ensenada..great breakfast at el cid....san diego in am..

caught 2 nice 20+ lb yellowtail off san bentos island....fishing a little slow, cold water, 61 off benitos. and blue....55 off isla san martin and green

left turtle yesterday went outside cedros, betweensan benitos...very nice,..even calm..hit wx 60 miles from sacramento reef...6-8' swell sloppy, 15-25 knots on the nose for about 12 hours...calmed out , 2-3' swell south of san martin...motoring lte winds...expect ensenada 0200 for mex checkout

left turtle bay 0645...3-4' w swell, wind 300 @ 8....motoring 7kts...going outside cedros up to ensenada...mexicana eggs in homemade tortillas from turtle...awesome...big yellowtail hit, lost at boat...water 56 degrees..turtle was very nice stop....got fuel, ice, some veggies,..ate at vera cruz, and morroco...muy tranquillo....mostly cloudy but comfortable...definitely getting colder...

came in last nite to turtle bay,..calm, nice...need fuel, a few minor groceries...sunny..calm...beautiful...will leaave for ensenada manana dawn...2 day trip...had some big fish strikes...broke 80 lb steel leader...lot of skipjack...

anchored last nite in santa maria..beautiful...poured the diesel from deck into tanks,..cleaned up, nap...great dinner..chicken fajita, greek salad, wine and margaritas..finished the choc chip cookies rick's daughter made..mmm..clear beautiful nite..left this am 0630....to turtle..1 1/2-2 days..4' gentle swell, 10 knots on nose..motoring..hookups yellow tail, and a lot of skip jack (threw them back)...sunny..warm..water only 60 degrees...the hubbians

baja bash north at o630....25-30 knots on nose, 6-8 breaking seas...3 hours everything calmed down to 20 knots and 4-6' ses...now 40 miles north.. following coast, 3-4' seas, 15 knots on nose, motoring 6.5 knots...santa maria bay manana afternoon...lots sierra mackerel and 3-4 yellow tail..10 lb...kept only a couple for dinner...fishing good....last nite, tried to leave 35+ knots and 8+ seas..spent nite at anchorage off beach in cabo..palap bar and good nites sleep...ok this am
