 Galapagos to Marquesas Day 10
Lat:-6.0802° Lon:-112.2042°  Wind: E 13.0 kt | Temp:80° |

Miles travelled: 1313 out of 2917
Rain, rain, rain, that is all it has done for the past few days. Otherwise, all is well onboard. We continue to have strong winds and are making good progress. Now if only the sun would come out and dry everything out! Lots of love, JM

We are zipping along at 8.2 knots and making up for some of our lost time the first three days out. Savannah and crew are all doing well. Sea conditions continue to be a bit rough. Although several boats that are 100 to 200 miles ahead of us are reporting calm seas, so we are looking forward to that! We haven?t been fishing since the conditions are so uncomfortable, trying to clean anything wouldn?t be easy. The full moon and sun rises/sets have been spectacular, one rising behind us as the other is setting in front of us. Love to everyone, JM

It?s Thursday, 4/29 and we just completed our 5th day at sea. All is well onboard. Winds finally picked up yesterday morning and we?ve started making some good time. Unfortunately with the winds have come some confused and uncomfortable seas, but we?re happy to be sailing and making progress to our destination. Lots of love, JM

 San Cristobal Island, Galapagos

We've been at San Cristobal Island for just over a week now and have been having an amazing time. The place is truly magical! We've been swimming with sea turtles, iguanas, fur seals, and sea lions just about every day. They are very curious about us, and most will let you touch them. We also took an inland tour to the tortoise breeding center where we saw 200 year old giant tortoises as well as 1, 2 and 5 year old baby tortoises. Tomorrow we will head over to the island of Isabella, about 90 miles further west. Isabella is where we will find the penguins, I can't wait! Lots of love, Jodie and Michael

 Panama to Galapagos, Day 8
Lat:-0.8969° Lon:-89.6128°  Wind: E 4.0 kt | Temp:79° |

We?ve made it! Arrived just after 11:30 A.M. and just finished getting checked-in with our agent. It took us 8 days and 1.5 hours, a total of 914 nautical miles. We?re happy to be hear and had a great trip overall. I?ll email more over the next couple days once we catch-up on our sleep and find an internet connection. Love to everyone, J&M

 Panama to Galapagos, Day 7
Lat:0.3379° Lon:-88.1027°  Wind: SE 5.0 kt | Temp:79° |

Only 115 or so miles to go! We should arrive San Cristobal Island tomorrow, Sunday April 4th. We?re sailing along now at about 6 knots under clear blue skies and calm seas. Love to everyone, J&M

 Panama to Galapagos, Day 6
Lat:1.4245° Lon:-86.8066°  Wind: ESE 3.5 kt | Temp:80° |

Another good day of sailing, we?re 110 miles closer to our destination. The winds haven?t been all that favorable, mostly on our nose, but slowly sailing is better than motoring any day. We?re all doing great, getting a little anxious to reach land. Last night just before my 1AM watch, a flying fish flew through the hatch above our bed and landed on my head. Not the way you want to be woken up, let me tell you! Michael thought it was hilarious and I?m sure will share all the details in is journal. Love to everyone, J&M

 Panama to Galapagos, Day 5
Lat:2.1059° Lon:-84.9292°  Wind: SE 6.0 kt | Temp:81° |

We managed to sail 20 out of the last 24 hours, averaging 4.3 knots. We?ve traveled a total of 567 nautical miles, only 300ish miles remaining until we make landfall. It looks like we will arrive San Cristobal Island on Sunday morning (April 4th). HAPPY BIRTHDAY June and Courtney! Love to everyone, J&M

 Panama to Galapagos, Day 4
Lat:2.8473° Lon:-83.4174°  Wind: S 5.0 kt | Temp:81° |

With the exception of a squall late in the afternoon yesterday, the winds never made a strong appearance. We were able to sail off and on throughout the day, mainly off. Once the squall hit us around 3, we were stuck in rain showers until 6 this morning. A very long, wet and cold night. The sun is out now, we are sailing along at 3.5 knots (not much but we?re happy to have the engine off), and we are all feeling much better today. Love to everyone, J&M

 Panama to Galapagos, Day 3
Lat:3.9656° Lon:-82.1080°  Wind: W 6.0 kt | Temp:81° |

Only 103 miles today, mainly motor sailing. Winds continue to be light We hope to hit the southerly trade winds that will blow us to the Galapagos very soon. Love to everyone, J&M

 Panama to Galapagos, Day 2
Lat:5.0768° Lon:-80.9885°  Wind:  0.0 kt | Temp:0° |

Winds died around 5:30 last night and we turned on the engine for the first time since leaving the anchorage. Which was good since our batteries needed some recharging. We are currently motor sailing with very light winds and calm seas. It?s been 48 hours and we?ve gone 250 nautical miles (out of a total of 850ish). Love to everyone, J&M

 Panama to Galapagos, Day 1
Lat:6.9660° Lon:-80.1190°  Wind: N 19.0 kt | Temp:81° |

Hopefully this works, we thought we?d try out the blog feature of our sat modem? We raised anchor just before 10 A.M. yesterday (March 27th). Boy did it feel good to get that hook up and be on our way again. Since leaving, we?ve had steady 15 to 30 knot winds on our back, keeping us sailing downwind between 5 and 7 knots. We are doing good, just getting our sea legs back and adjusting to our 6 hour watch schedule. Love to everyone, J&M
